Coed Nant Gain Caves

Directions
Park in the car park by the lower Cilcain Bridge. Walk back across the bridge towards Cilcain and you will see a named gate on the left. This is the entrance but be aware it is private property. The landowner lives on the land (see access below)

Access
Ungated but permission is required. The landowner is very protective of the woodland and fauna which he is nurturing. A written request in advance of any proposed visit should be made.

Cave Attributes
Small, tight passages in the main.

Description
A number of small caves all part of the same Karst around the stream running into the Alyn River.

The stream itself is karst with a number of sinks known to rise again at the Cilcain Bridge resurgence.

The caves themselves are of little interest although the topography of the area is fascinating.

Unexplored Passages
Probably a good number of small passages unexplored

Digs
An abandoned dig exists in one of the caves – probably in excess of 20 years old.

i think the author must be getting paranoid' i would'nt mind but he did get permition from the land owne .r

Blanking the faces out is just a fast way of putting pics up without having to get permission off all the people in the first place (I am not in contact with everyone)

And, Mike, ..... the landowner is in the first picture nitwit
