| Hi Frank, The first photo looks like Poachers cave and, yes, it is an excellent system. The second goes immediaitely to a collapsed sump with a divers line in. It was known to go for several hundred feet with at least 3 airbells in it. .... assuming I have the locations right (either side of the Cilcain bridge) Ian | |

| top one does'nt look like poachers to me . second one had otter foot prints in it last time i was in there , i think dave merchant dived the sump about 10 years ago and as he came back out a boulder in the roof got dis-lodged and trapped the divers line to the floor | |

| sorry for seeming a bit vague on the location but here are the details in full. Both are upstream from the Cilcain bridge. The small slot is on the river true left probably about 1/2 mile upstream and the second (yes looks a bit like poachers) is about 3/4 to a mile from the brodge (upstream river right) The second can be reached by following the footpath to Devils Gorge and taking the path that crosses the river (just before the gorge) before crossing the river go downstream for about 250 yards. There was a sledgehammer head outside I guess from down the hole?? Maybe this can give some further insight | |
