Location
SJ 119 570
Directions
Near to Ruthin, Take the B5105 out of Ruthin towards Llanfwrog but turn left onto the A494 to Pwll Glas.
This road is around 1 mille long with a “T” junction at the end. Approximately half way along this road, on the right, is an un-named forest – the mine is in this forest. As you drive along the edge of the forest you will see two big gates (on the right). One is marked private but the other is a public footpath – take the footpath and head directly in but take the right fork when able.
The mine entrance is very difficult to find (see picture below). But can be seen from the track you are walking along.

Description
The accessible adit reveals very little with only a short passageway festooned with spiders and water to ankle depth.. There are no decorations present and the walls and floor are very roughly hewn.
There is, however, several surface shafts which are fenced off and apparently no longer accessible. A metal pole sticks out of one and quick poke in the ground saw the soil dropping inwards. This suggests there is a mine underneath but nothing is known of it at all.
Unexplored Passages
Potential for an unfound mine
