TRIP CANCELLED AGAIN - SORRY !


Dear All,

Here is this weeks fun::

Trip: Pearl Shaft/Thorntree shaft

Trip type: Pearl Shaft: Access via 50ft electron and general mooch as not been open for 10 years

Thorntree Shaft: 75ft abseil and general exploration

Meet point: Usual spot or meet in layby at top of Pentre Halkyn hill(near Rhes-y-cae) turning

Meet time: 18.30

Note: You will need abseil equipment for Thorntree and will need harness etc for safety line in Pearl.

I will not be able to make it this week as I have got to go to Merthyr Tudfil for a couple of days, but I have done the modifications to the frame and lid for pearl shaft so if you intend to fit it this week, let me know and I will drop it off at Mike's house, or you can pick it up from mine.

count me in! Only thing is, i'm not sure of the meeting place - could someone give me a os grid ref or a link to google maps or similar.

Grid Ref is SJ 184 721

There is a track/road to the side of the quarry leading to this grid ref (about 100 yards long) - that is where we are meeting/parking and it is right by the shafts(s).

Hoss! would it not be better to meet at the glan first seen as the trip is local then we can go up in a few cars so as were not parked all over the mountain drawing attention to ourselves.. just a thought ...P.S. love you

Marty - sounds like a cunning plan - i can get at least 7 muddy people in the Landy if you wanna meet at the Glan first.

I seem to have come down with some sort of a bug/cold.

I'll give tomorrow night a miss and hopefully will be better for Saturday night.

I have done myself an injury in work. Will see how i am tomorrow. if i am still bad, i will either

A. Sit on the grass outside thorntree shaft and sunbathe

or

B. meet you all in the pub afterwards

Come and sunbathe outside the shaft entrance..... I might do a video tonight and, if I do, you could bring some of your girls and we can have more half-naked dancers in the mine
