| Evan, Mike has confirmed Cabin shaft .... perhaps you could give him a bell and confirm arrangements. We also have a new recruit who lives on the doorstep of that mine who might like to come too (Andy) .... Ian | |

| Hi Frank, The mine is in Minera but the meet place will be the Moors Inn at the crossroads between the road for Bwlchgwyn and Ruthin. I don't know the time yet (keep watching this thread for the trip organiser to post the details). The entrance is a 40 foot shaft and we use an electron ladder to enter with a safety line (we will put a harness on you).... The mine itself is extensive being an old lead mine with oodles of passages although some of them are quite "crawly". It will be reasonably exhaustive and I would expect us to be down for a couple of hours. All things being equal you shouldn't get wet but that depends on where in the mine we go and I don't know the answer to that for sure ..... Keep watching this thread and hope to see you there .... | Hi I will be able to come to this cave on Thursday, its only about a 5 min drive away from my house. I would need to borrow all the equipment needed such as a helmet and lamp if thats ok. But I am going to start looking for my own equipment soon. Andy | |
