On the 28th March 2010 I will be sat on a beach in Goa, India. Regretably, unless someone can pick me up (and collect my SRT gear), I won't be able to get there

Lost John's Cave is the most extensive cave system on Leck Fell, North Yorkshire, England. With its four major vertical routes (Old Roof Traverse, New Roof Traverse, Dome Route, and Centipede Route) it is a popular place to practice SRT because of the opportunity for exchange trips. Also it can be safely visited on wet days because many of the pitches can be rigged out of the water.

All routes on Battleaxe Streamway. From here the usual route is to shuffle along Battleaxe Traverse at a high level, protected by rope, until the canyon becomes too wide, and descend a safe distance from the water. From here a short passage leads to Groundsheet Junction where the Leck Fell Master Cave is entered.

Upstream leads to Lost Pot, Lyle Caverns and a second entrance from Boxhead Pot.

Downstream leads through several neck deep pools past several inlets, including one from Rumbling Hole to a sump which after 800m connects to Pippikin Pot.

Our illustrious Captain has said it will be dry but I have heard those stories before .......

I am putting a wet-suit inside my dry-suit inside my oversuit and bringing a waterproof, shockproof camera in a waterproof, shockprook case and then I am staying in the car.

no its not a joke douge but you are right we are'nt going that way (unless you wan't to of cause ).
thank for letting marty mart try out your chest harness , it worked a treat we also tried a (pantin)foot jammer on him as well so he's coming up to scratch (just need to sort his weight out .don't tell him i said that ) . he went down the first two platforms which was quite good really . sorry im waffling again so we are staying out of the water in lost johns"honest"

oi leachy i'll give you need to lose weight, i think i did rather well last night in fact im of to spar mine sunday for a play on the ropes before i have to give douggys kit back

have you had a sence of humour bypass . i was really impressed with you last night (might make a bl00dy caver out of you yet) mick is also going to the spar mine on sunday so you should get some good results , if you wan't to borrow my foot jammer come and pick it up on sunday
