Trip #1 ..... Doug's Dig
The dig at Doug's house is continuing from 6:30pm onwards.

The ideal number of "diggers" is 4 but more will make the operation easier.

There will be two diggers at the face to fill the boat, one to haul the boat back on the rope and one to winch the boat out. Addtiional people will make it easier.

If you are in the tunnel expect water to go over your knees - waders are good !


Trip #2 ..... Belgrave Mine
There are two ventures into Belgrave;

1) SRT through trip
The through trip will require full SRT equipment and you WILL get wet to your waist.

2) Walk in ... Walk out tour
For the non-SRTs, there will be a walk through of the mine which will include a small amount of crawling and a small amount of easy scrambling. You will not get wet.

Meet time and place for both is 6:45pm to 7:00pm at the usual spot for Belgrave


Trip #2 ..... Glen's Adventure
There is a third trip which Glen has laid on with himself and "A.N.Other" to a previously visited mine to explore beyond the breakthrough - please see your email for details of the meet time and place (and the trip of course)

Mike mentioned two trips to Belgrave? one SRT and the other a walk in-out trip. Is this going to be happening?

Possibly, I don't know (which was, of course, the reason for my asking).

It could be done but we need "riggers" for the SRT and at least two are at Doug's dig. I am seeing one of the other "riggers" tonight and I will speak to Mike tomorrow or Weds (another rigger) so I personally won't know until at least then.

I think you will need at least a commitment off Mike to be certain the SRT trip is on.

The "walk in / walk out" can be done regardless of riggers and we could make our way up to some of the higher reaches which I know you haven't seen yet (depends who is going).

Having re-read my post, I think it is a mostly useless post and doesn't actually solve anything
