Location
SJ 191 645

Directions
Park at the top of Pantymwyn by the footpath that leads to Devil’s Gorge and walk down the path. The pot is off to the left in trees at the top end of a large shakehole.

Access
Gated. Access via UCET.

Suggested Equipment
None

Length
100 metres

Flood risk
None Known

Cave Attributes
An apparent stacked collapse of two chambers (one over the top of the other). Probably connects to the Ogof Hesp Alyn system.

Description
A historically important cave discovered by Michael Murphy and found to contain the complete skull of a 3000-4000 year old boar as well as other animal bones including bear.

Entering the pot via a short fixed ladder, the passage to the left brings you into a large chamber with some nice decorations lower down and far back. There are two difficult crawls which lead no where. There are also two passages leading down, on to an abandoned dig and the other to a choked floor.

Turning right from the entrance ladder takes you through a very awkward and very muddy crawl to a another small chamber reached by a fixed electron ladder. Here there is another dig chasing a draft which currently extends downwards around 20 metres and is thought to possibly connect with the OHA system.

Unexplored Passages
None

Digs
There is an active dig in the far right of the pot.
There is an abandoned dig in the far left of the pot
