There are two trips for Thursday 26th March

Trip #1 - Belgrave Mine
This is the main trip.

Meeting time is 6:30pm to 6:45pm and meeting in the usual place.

To get to the usual place, you need to go to the Druids pub in Llanferres, continue along the Mold to Ruthin road (heading to Ruthin) and take the first left after you leave Llanferres. Go down this lane for only a couple hundred feet and you will see a left hand turn (almost invisible) which is a slightly tighter lane. Take this and go along, over a stream (bridge) and upwards around a steep bend and continue until you come to a property on a very hard left hand bend. Turn left here (the road naturally goes left) and around 200 yards further there is a farm on the left with substantial cattle (sheep) gates and covered building on the left. Immediately opposite there is a public footpath and parking for 4-5 vehicles. This is the meet place.

If you are in any doubt, contact me (PM, phone, shout or use smoke signals) and I will arrange to meet you at the Druids pub.

No equipment is needed and time permitting we can go in two of the three mines (the 3rd requires SRT and so we will avoid on this trip)

You should be able to avoid getting wet (no running water) although if we decide to freeclimb into the higher areas there is wet mud.

Trip #2 - Murphy's Pot
This is a secondary trip and is a digging trip.

Please only arrive for this if you intend to partake in digging.

Meet time is 6:00pm to 6:45pm at the top of Devil's Gorge in Pantymywyn as usual.

Expect to get utterly covered in sh.it.

Yes you will. The entrance to the lower mine is a bit tight but it opens up, literally, immediately.

The upper mine is where we will go first and this requires a quick duck to get in (again, it opens immediately) and then you are walking in a tall but narrow passage. There are a good number of "off-shoots" and some of these are squeezy but none are imperative and can be ignored. Up to you if you decide to wander up and down them (well, crawl, climb etc.)

Yes you will be able to take whatever shots you like.

The "models" will depend on who is coming



I am certain you have a timer on your camera so you can volunteer yourself
